Features
Three adjustable stages
The three-stage switch on the back of the grip handle allows the heat gun to switch on and off. In addition to the three-stage speed/airflow control, the temperature can adjust continuously over a range of 120 to 1150°F (50 to 620°C) in settings 2 and 3 at the toggle. The tool is factory-set to display temperature in °F. The temperature increases in 10°F steps by pressing the right-hand "+" side of the toggle or reduces in 10°F steps by pressing the left-hand "-" side of the toggle. Pressing the toggle briefly changes the target temperature by one 10°F step. Keeping the toggle pressed will change the temperature in 10°F steps until the toggle is released, or the minimum or maximum temperature is set. The temperature setting displays for 3 seconds.
On lowering or increasing the temperature, the display will show the current temperature of the heat gun. The "°F/°C" symbol will flash until it reaches the selected temperature. Blower switch 1 delivers a temperature of 120°F (50°C). When the tool operates at high temperatures on blower switch 2 or 3, it will take a short while to cool to 120°F (50°C) after switching down to blower stage 1. While the tool is cooling, the LCD display shows the current temperature at the nozzle outlet. After switching off, the hot air tool stays on the last temperature setting.
Double insulated tools
Tools marked with the words "Double Insulated" come equipped with a two prong plug. These tools have an insulation system that complies with applicable UL standards, meaning they do not require grounding. "Double Insulated" tools, like this one, have two prong cords and can use either a two or three prong extension cord.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). In order to reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug fits in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fully fit in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not work, contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.
Residual heat indicator
The residual heat indicator displays a warning to prevent injury from direct contact with the hot nozzle outlet. The warning symbol will flash until the temperature at the nozzle outlet has fallen below 140°F (60°C) at room temperature. It works after 90 seconds of heating and functions when the tool is unplugged. No indication will show if the heat gun has been operating for less than 90 seconds. The thermal cut-out will completely shut down the heat gun if it overheats.
Responsibility rests with the user. Care must be taken at all times when handling hot air tools.
